About .pe Domains
Punto.pe is the sponsor and CentralNic Reseller (Key-Systems GmbH) is our backend provider for the country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) .pe extension that represents Peru.
Who can register .pe domains?
Anyone can register .pe domain names.
- .pe: Intended for Peru businesses or individuals
- .com.pe: Intended for commercial entities
- .net.pe: Intended for network infrastructures, such as Internet Service Providers
- .org.pe: Intended for noncommercial entities
- .nom.pe: Intended for general purpose
Note: Customers purchasing new .pe, .com.pe, .net.pe, .org.pe, .nom.pe domains must complete Email Verification to activate the domain. This change is aimed at enhancing security and ensuring accurate registrant information. If email verification is not completed as required, the domain will be suspended and may be deleted by the registry.
Registration restrictions
When registering a .pe domain, you must follow specific requirements.
- Must use: 1 - 63 Characters
- Can use: Letters (a-z characters), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 1st or last characters of the domain name)
- Cannot use: Special characters (e.g., & and #)
- IDNs: Supported (Spanish characters: á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ)
Features
- Registration length: 1-5 years
- Renewal length: 1-4 years
- Your .pe, .com.pe, .net.pe, .org.pe, and .nom.pe domain name renews before its expiration date. If auto-renew is turned on, we'll attempt renewal 20 days prior to the domain's expiration date. If the first attempt fails, we'll continue attempting renewal multiple times prior to the domain's expiration date.
- If we cannot auto-renew the domain name and you do not manually renew it by 6 days prior to the expiration date, you can attempt to recover your domain with any applicable fees.
- Backorders: Not supported
- Transfers to Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting: Supported
- Transfers away from Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting: Supported
- Once a .pe domain transfer request is submitted, it cannot be cancelled.
- Transfers to another Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting account: Supported
- Domain Privacy: Supported
- Domain Protection: Supported
- Contact Updates: Supported
