Connect my Website Builder site to a domain registered outside of Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting
If your domain is not registered with Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting, it's still an easy process to connect it to your Website Builder website.
- Go to Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting and open your website builder.
- Select Settings.
- Next to your domain, select Manage.
- In the My Domain dropdown box, select Add an external domain.
- Select Next.
- Enter your domain in the box to check if it's valid.
- We'll show you information specific to your site. Sign in to your DNS provider and use the information to update the DNS records. If you need help, please contact your DNS provider—Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting won't be able to make these changes for you.
- After you've changed your DNS records, select the Yes, my domain's A Record has been updated checkbox.
- Select Save & Publish.
Connecting to your Secureserver.net Domain Name Web Hosting domain usually takes a few minutes but can take up to 72 hours.
Note: The cost of hosting your website is separate from the cost of your domain.
